February 2021 News!
Well, what a year last year and this month has been full of planning for this year as much as one can plan forward!!!
Optimistically, we are full steam ahead here with The Hideaway, our on-site accomodation for workshops! Decorating and furnishing throughout the months ahead for our visitors sometime this year, hopefully!
The Tutorials page has seen the ‘Seascape’ doing well and I have had some wonderful images sent to me from people who have bought the tutorial and kit. Have a look at the page and the options available to buy. Great project for beginners and experienced felters and a hugely fun project for home schooling children as all the processes of felting cover many parts of the curriculum! Art, English Language, Maths, Science, also learning a skilled craft process, patience, creativity, socialisation, the list is endless!
NEW for 2021 and just finished filming in collaboration with the wonderful Glenda, the tutorial for the BIRD FEEDER/POD is now in editing. I am busy making the kits (optional purchase with or without tutorial) the kits have printed photo and text instructions. As you can see from the photos there are 4 colourways available in the kit option. This should be launched online by mid February! Who doesnt love to feed the birds and they (not mine, but a Welsh ladies) were featured on the BBC’s ‘Winterwatch’! Again these are great fun to make and hang in the garden stuffed full of food for the birds! Have a go with the children too, they will love it and learn from it. As Ive described above it covers a mulitple of areas of the school curriculum.
The Mull of Gallery is still operating a postal service for gifts and we currently have 18 artists with work in the gallery and they are all still producing their amazing work for this year when we are able to bring new stock in to open again to the public.
My work is still for sale, you can email me anytime to request images and prices for my felt paintings, scarves, bird feeders and other felted goodies or look at my “Work for Sale’ page on this website!
Happy February, looking forward to lighter nights, warmer weather and lots of felting! Stay safe and hopefully see or hear from you sometime this year!
