After discovering a Russian lady feltmaker/designer, Elena Naydenova https://tvfelt.com/mosaiccoat I looked at some of her other work and found a French Kerchief scarf video demonstration which I adapted to create my own style of French Kerchiefs. They differ in size and are not as fine in construction but bring my own style and themes of the sea and lanscapes and my designs are sometimes double sided in pattern so they can be worn both ways. On this design there is no nned for a pin to close the scarf, it simply threads through itself and remains fastened.

Made from merino fibres with some embellishments such as viscose, silk hankes, mulberry silks and hand spun yarns, these are wet felted and finished by smoothing and ironing. They are washable, by hand, very warm and easy to wear! A lot of fun to make too!

Price £40 plus UK pp £3.75
